Death Announcement

On behalf of the Pashodo Community Mutual Assistance Association (PCMAA) USA,

we would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of Kwanyrieth Aban Deng.

The passing of Kwanyrieth Aban Deng is a great loss for our Chollo Community, and he will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Kwanyirenth Aban.

May his soul rest in peace.

PCMAA JULY 4th, 2015 ELECTION RULES

Election Rules

In accordance with the Pashodo Community Mutual Assistance (PCMAA) bylaws, we the executive committee and the board of director designate the following (dates) and time table for our Community election.

Section 1 – General Provisions

  1. Elections will be held by referendum, and all balloting will be conducted by the use of secret ballot. The official ballot shall have an official number assigned to each ballot.  A list of names of the membership shall be obtained from the membership list.  The election committee shall over preside the election at the time of ballot. All ballots will be collect by the election committee to ensure the secrecy of the ballots, and will be held there until the time designated for the counting of such ballots.
  2. Except as otherwise specifically provided herein, any challenge to the conduct of an election must be made in accordance with PCMAA Bylaws.
  3. Election committee must be nominated by the PCMAA members no later than Sunday May 31, 2015, and updated as appropriate.
  4. In the event any deadline determined in this document falls on a holiday, the next regular business day will automatically be designated as the true and actual deadline.
  5. The election committee will supervise the conduct of the election and take measures they deem necessary to assure a fair and impartial election.

Section 2 – Nominations

  1. A candidate for we the executive committee or the board member must be nominated or elect by a full PCMAA Absolute (voting) members in good standing, who paid his/her annual dues of the two years 2011 and 2014, and must accept the nomination or self-nomination.
  2. The annual dues are payable to the organization (at PCMAA website under donations link on main menu) by members are $150.00 for single and $210.00 for family.
  3. If you are an absolute member and not in a good standing, you must pay your dues
  4. Nominations must submit his/her name directly to the current office or a member of the election committee no later than Sunday May 31, 2015. Nominations received after this date will be considered invalid. Nominations must submit their names at organization website under Contact us link on the main menu.
  5. The election committee will be in charged to review the qualifications of the candidate accordance with Article 4 section 4.5.
  6. All qualification candidate will be ask by the member of the election committee to signed responsibilities form, no later than Sunday May 31, 2015, and contain a written certificate in the following form, signed and dated by the proposed candidate:

“I, __________________, do hereby accept the nomination and responsibilities that PCMAA the position of executive committee.  I request my name to appear on the ballot as _________________.

  1. The election committee shall determine whether the candidate has correctly submitted their nomination acceptance and possesses the necessary qualifications for the executive office.  If a candidate is disqualified, the candidate must be notified in writing of the reason(s) for the disqualification.

Section 3 – Balloting Procedure

  1. The election committee will ensure the proper and timely preparation of the ballots.  The names of the candidates with their pictures for each candidate will appear in alphabetical order.  The ballots will contain voting instructions consistent with these bylaws.
  2. The ballots prepared by the election committee will be the only official ballots.  No others may be used.  A sufficient number of ballots will be printed and distributed. The election committee will maintain a record of the ballots distributed.
  3. No signature of any voter or other distinguishing mark will appear on the ballot.  A signed or marked ballot will automatically be ruled ineligible.
  4. No member’s ballot will be counted unless the member is registered with the Association.

Section 4 – Ballot Collection, Tally Procedure

  1. The election committee will validate and count the ballots no later than 5 minutes after voted. Candidates will have a representative present at the time the election committee will open and count the ballots. The candidate must notify the election committee who will serve as a representative.
  2. The election committee is in charged with the tally of all ballots and the preparation of a report, which sets forth in complete detail the results of the election, including a complete accounting of all ballots and the reconciliation of the ballots with rosters and verification lists of members who attend the election. The report will clearly detail all discrepancies discovered and any action taken for the treatment of such discrepancies. All members of the election committee will sign the report without prejudice.

PCMAA 2011 States Coordinators Election

As agreed on our last July 24th, 2011 teleconference meeting, all States Coordinators should conduct a meeting with their State members within 30 days to elect their new States coordinators. All the election results are expected to be review on our upcoming teleconference meeting which will be held on Saturday September 3rd, 2011 at 6:00pm mountain time.
